What age range of students do you teach?
We are open to teaching all ages. Typically, the coordination and focus required for drums and percussion develops
around 6-7 and up depending on the individual student. We welcome all well behaved children, their parents, and
grandparents and you are welcome to come in for a free trial lesson so that we can determine if a younger student is ready.
What kind of drums do you teach on?
The drum kit in our studio is a Roland V-Drum electronic drum kit. It plays and feels just like a real kit.
The advantage to using an electronic drum kit is volume control, the ability to change the tone of the drums, as well as
built in metronome and recording capabilities.
Does my child need to buy a drum set?
Not right away. Beginners will need a drum pad and drum sticks to start with. Depending on the age and dedication of the student we can recommend a model of
either electronic drums or acoustic drums. We have a small stock of both electronic and acoustic drums for sale at the store at a competitive price.
